News from the SCAS Community
Fredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist (Professor of History, Stockholm University)
has been granted SEK 5 100 000
by the
Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg
Foundation for the
interdisciplinary project “Adapting to climate change in the
northern Baltic Sea
region, AD 1500–1900”.
The project will start July 1, 2023,
and continue until
December 31, 2027.
Charpentier-Ljungqvist is a SCAS Pro
Futura Scientia Fellow and was in residence
in the academic year 2019-20.
Hans Joas (Ernst Troeltsch Professor for the Sociology of Religion,
Humboldt-
Universität zu Berlin, and Professor of Sociology and Social Thought, University
of Chicago
) has
received an honorary doctorate at the Péter Pázmány Catholic
University, Budapest. Joas is a former Non-resident Long-term Fellow of SCAS,
who
was in residence
in the academic years 1999-2000 and 2004-05, as well as
in
the
spring terms of 1992 and 2010.
SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow Julia Uddén has been granted SEK 4 000 000 by
the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation for her project "Language and
communication skills in adolescents with ADHD: investigation of neural
mechanisms
and development". Uddén was in residence at the Collegium in the academic year
2017-18 and in the autumn term of 2022.
